Inspired by real events, this moving play by Pearl Cleage captures the voices of five women waiting in line to pay their respects to Coretta Scott King. Through their stories, A Song for Coretta explores themes of activism, resilience, and the lasting impact of one woman’s legacy. The play explores the life of Coretta Scott King after her husband's assassination, highlighting her continued fight for civil rights and her dedication to carrying on his vision. A powerful tribute to the strength of Black women and the fight for justice.
